SEMAFORO STATEMENT GOES AS FOLLOWS,
         What is SEMAFORO?
A CREATIVE LABEL FORMED TO SHOWCASE MY WORK THAT EXPERIMENTS WITH  THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A PROCESS OF THINKING I CALL SEMAFORO.
How was SEMAFORO created?
WHILE IN AN UBER, I HAD A CONVERSATION WITH THE DRIVER WHO HAD MOVED TO MIAMI FROM CUBA. OUR CONVERSATION RESULTED IN THE DRIVER WANTING TO SHARE A SPANISH WORD WITH ME. WE WERE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT, HE POINTED AT IT AND ASKED IF I KNEW THE SPANISH WORD. I RESPONDED WITH "LUZ," THE SPANISH WORD FOR LIGHT. HE QUICKLY SHOOK HIS HEAD AND SAID, "SEMÁFORO," CORRECTING ME. HE EXPLAINED THAT USING "LUZ" WHEN REFERRING TO A TRAFFIC LIGHT WOULDN'T MAKE SENSE TO SOMEONE WHO SPOKE SPANISH. I FOUND THE CONCEPT OF WHAT HE DESCRIBED INTERESTING— 
THE ROOT OF AN IDEA NOT APPLYING TO THE IDEA ITSELF, RESULTING IN A COMPLETELY NEW CONTEXT FOR THE IDEA.
SEMAFORO as a process of thinking:
THE IDEA THAT DISAGREEING WITH DEFINITIONS CAN BE USED TO PRODUCE NEW CONTEXT.
SEMAFORO EMPHASIZES STRATEGIC, RATHER THAN RIGID, ADHERENCE TO ITS PRINCIPLES. IT IS AN EXPERIMENTATION OF A THOUGHT PROCESS TO PRODUCE CONTEXT. 

NOT ALL PROJECTS PRODUCED UNDER THE SEMAFORO LABEL WILL STRICTLY FOLLOW IT’S PRINCIPLES AS A PROCESS OF THINKING, WHICH IN ITSELF IS SEMAFORO.
